So I decided to just give you all the details on water. The what, why and how of drinking clean water along with the links for purchasing and discounts where applicable.

I hope you will start here and start making changes that add up greatly when it comes to you health and longevity. Start your children and grandchildren off on the right foot too!

Why You Should Drink Pure (Distilled) Water

 

Water should be pure H₂O but in 2026, the reality is far from that.

Even when your water is “filtered” or run through reverse osmosis, that does not mean it’s truly clean. According to current data, the EPA regulates only about 90 contaminants, yet independent testing (like the Environmental Working Group’s national tap water database) has detected 300+ different chemicals and pollutants in U.S. drinking water systems and scientists acknowledge there are thousands of additional industrial and environmental chemicals that are not routinely tested or regulated.

Many standard home filters remove only a portion of these contaminants. And most municipal water tests don’t look for everything that actually exists in the water.  Not to mention the level of filtering dramatically decreases with each use, can grow mold and for me- I had a leak from my under-sink RO system that cost me over 20K in repairs. 

The only form of water that is essentially free of dissolved contaminants is distilled water. Distillation removes heavy metals, PFAS, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, bacteria, and many other pollutants at the molecular level - leaving behind true H₂O.

Reducing daily toxic load is a huge part of supporting chronic illness recovery, hormone balance, detox pathways, mitochondrial health, and overall healing.

With a proper nutrient-dense diet, you can still get the minerals your body needs because minerals should come from food and bioavailable supplements, not from inorganic, poorly absorbed residues in water.

If you feel “stuck” in your health journey, looking at your water source is one of the most overlooked – yet very powerful - places to start.

I HIGHLY recommend distilled water as the cleanest option for those focused on lowering toxic burden.

I drink filtered water. Why is distilled better for my health?

 

While it’s better than drinking tap water, filters and reverse osmosis purification systems lose effectiveness over time, so chemicals and toxins can still pass through. In contrast, distillers are consistent. They use a phase change instead of a physical barrier. This means that whatever they remove the first time, they will remove the 1,000,000th time.

 

I don’t like drinking water. Why am I not thirsty?

 

If you are not often thirsty or don’t like drinking water, chances are there is some chemical in the water that your body doesn’t want.

This means your health could be suffering because of the water you drink. Switching to distilled could reverse this. Our bodies desperately need water to export toxins.

 

I feel worse when I drink distilled water. Should I stop drinking it?

 

You’ve been drinking certain chemicals for so long without realizing it, so now when you stop drinking your normal water, the body will start to purge chemicals that your body has built up. Our bodies cannot detox very well if we are constantly exposing it to chemicals.

When you are finally detoxing chemicals out, you may experience what is called “herxing” or “herx reactions.” So while you may be feeling worse, you are actually getting better. You are now draining and detoxing more effectively, and overtime your body will adjust.  If you can’t deal with the detoxing, you can slowly increase the amount of distilled water you drink each daily until you are on half your weight in ounces of distilled water and/or add a binder to help usher the toxins out.  Let me know if you need help here, this is my area!  DETOX

 

How much distilled water should I drink?

 

I recommend drinking half your body weight in ounces of water a day, plus extra 5 ounces for every 15 minutes of strenuous exercise. When on detox and/or elimination protocols, increase the water as well. Sometimes symptoms can be mitigated by just drinking more.

 

Are there any risks when drinking distilled water?

 

While there are no risks, some people have found that this water has a flat taste that can be unappealing. If this is an issue for you, we recommend adding a spritz of your favorite fruit in your water and herbal tea to help with the taste. However, over time, your body will be craving this type of water, so you will get used to the taste. (if you have done a food sensitivity test with me, you will know what your THERAPEUTIC fruits and herbal teas are, great way to add them in here)

 

You may also have an increased urine output that could result in an electrolyte imbalance, so make sure you are drinking enough water and eating healthy foods. But remember, urine output is a normal drainage pathway that is necessary for the body’s natural detoxification processes.

Structuring distilled water improves the taste and absorption so I HIGHLY recommend it! (I have a link to my fav structurer below)

 

Why are the minerals in water not healthy? Isn’t it important to have these minerals for health?

 

The minerals in water are often in a toxic state that are not carbon-bonded (unlike minerals which are plant-derived in food). Therefore, they are not healthy. Think of the different mineral forms as consuming iron from a pipe (water) versus iron from spinach (food).  So the removal of minerals in water will not harm you as long as you are eating a balanced diet of nutrient-rich foods.

 

Should I add anything to my water?

 

You can add healthy flavor to your water by adding lemon slices, fruit, Amino Acid powder, electrolytes, sea salt, minerals, Vitamin C, herbal teas, etc.  Consider adding things like minerals or other supplements to your water to add nutrients into your diet. (reach out if you need suggestions)

 

You can choose to add CT-Minerals from Cellcore (available on my website).  This is not necessarily for adding the minerals back in, but rather to stabilize the pH, plus re-energize and order the H20 structure. The minerals in this supplement are bioavailable plant-derived, which means that the body can readily receive these minerals to perform essential bodily functions and it also has binding properties to help usher toxins out).   Remember: distilled water does not rob your body of minerals. How do I clean my distiller and assure the purity of my water?

 

Descale regularly buy unplugging the top part from the canister, heat the canister with no lid, add water to fill line and 1-2 TBs citric acid.  Let it heat for about 3 hours or more.  Carefully transfer to sink after unplugging, dump hot water in sink.  Change the carbon filter in the spout, insert a new carbon filter, run one gallon of water through and pour this water out.  Then you are ready to start distilling water again.   Do this cleaning every 2-4 weeks depending on how many gallons you are doing.  The more you do daily, the more often you should clean and replace carbon filter.

Unfortunately, we have over 100K chemicals in the US and they don’t test for them all, especially in our water.  I say, better safe than sorry.
